How does this seem for cooling an overclocked 2.4c?

I currently have a 1900+, and it sits @ 55c in the BIOS, with the case temp at 30-32c. Case has 80mm front\back fans (Panaflos).

I am going to be getting a 2.4c and hopefully reaching past 3ghz with it.

I am currently considering the Thermalright SLK-900 heatsink along with a 92mm Panaflo that does 42 CFM, do you guys think that would be enough cooling?

I cool my 2.6C @ 3.34 with an Alpha 8942 and a Panaflo M1A 80mm (32 CFM). The Swiftech MCX 4000 is even better.

I'm currently running at 3.3GHz with the STOCK cooler. I've taken it to 3.4 stable, prefer the lower temps and higher memory ratio (4/5 instead of 2/3) at 3300MHz. My temps are nice.

I didn't catch the mobo you're running, but if you're running an IC7-G, your temps are probably (or definatly) not @ 55c as that board overstates the temps big time. This is an issue admitted to by Abit, and apparently they are working on a bios fix for this. In the meantime, I'm suggesting using a 4:5 multiplier on the IC7-G temps as being more accurate than the bios temps.....

rofl, uh... with that setup you are going to get 3 ghz... just don't skimp on ram.

How much past 3.2 ghz is the question... most people can get 3.3-3.4 on air (ram problems aside)... If you're looking for 3 ghz, you shouldn't be let down.
