I've never been timed on these things...well, the 800, but that doesn't count because it was about 15`F out and about 40mph winds and hailing (big ol' chunks too!), so the coldness and standing around waiting for my turn to run (there were 100 kids that had to run this, I was in the second to last heat of 10. :|) tightened my muscles so I my legs tightened up SO bad on the last 300m of it. The lack of oxygen (it was hard and painful to breath, what with the coldness, wind, and hail) didn't help my legs either. I got a weak 2:43

Bah...if it was sunny and 70`F I could do it in a LOT less (more towards 2:10), oh well.

One more conversion for all of you:

In order to finish a 100m race in 10 seconds you would need to average a speed of 36km/h or 22.4 mph.

So i would approximate 20 mph for a little over 10 seconds.
