135 mph on a Kaw Eliminator bike.

But "fumbduck" who did
115 in an F150, going downhill
is the most courageous of us all.

What? Not throwing bricks at pick-ups on the way?

I got to 130 in my 2k3 Tiburon

Thats the least likely

- Driven: 95 1.5L Civic DX coupe: 185kph (it cut out - friends in 88 2.0L prelude and 87 v6 2.8L camaro were still accelerating and I wasn't )
- Driven: 85 Iroc 5.0L (carb) ... no idea how fast I was actually going as my speedo only goes to 140kph! My dad followed me once and said he was just at 200kph and I was losing him. I've hit the bottom of the speedo... no idea how fast that is. I've never revved higher than about 4000rpm in 5th gear though, and never been able to top out the car. I find more excitement in accelerating than reaching high speeds
- Driven: 03 lancer 2.0L.. been up to 195kph but haven't taken it higher. only done that once.
-Passenger: 175kph in suzuki aerio wagon 2003
-Passenger: 150kph in suzuki swift 1995
-Passenger: 185kph in caprice police pack (that thing hauls... hehe)

In acceleration, driving the 95 civic dx i kept up with the 86 v6 camaro and pulled ahead of the 2.0L prelude (several carlengths). in the lancer I kept up with the police pack caprice... in the cam i haven't really raced anyone, my friends never asked and i've never been challenged on the road (it's weird.. ricers dont even try ). not that i condone racing on the streets

it IS strange though... in my friends v6 cam we'd always get picked on by ricers, and hilariously enough they couldn't even keep up - but why do they NEVER look at me in the iroc? I guess they somehow can tell the difference between a cam RS and iroc or maybe it's the sound...

i will miss my camaro (selling it to friend)

Buried the needle in my '87 CRX, that I owned in college, at 115mph. On a stretch of AZ highway that had no cops. The needle was on a steady incline and would have gone further, but the car was shaking too much, I didn't feel too safe.

I used to have a 98 prelude. I toltaled it 2 years about. But I remember when I first bought it I took a trip from Houston to dallas at 3 in the morning. There was no one around so I decided to max it out I think I was going about 140 or 150. I don't remember how much the max was. I was fvcking scary cause there was no lights around.

I rode in my friends Subaru and it hit the governor at like 115 or 120.

I drove my little '89 Dodge Ram pickup 4 cylinder, I think 2.1 liter engine right up to 100mph once

Have done 120+ in my '88 Fiero back in the day.
Have done 120 in my Miata.
Did 115 in my dad's Lincoln LS (speed limiter) and 130 in his Trans-Am.

Have done 120 in the rain a dozen times.

You would hit the rev limiter way before going 125mph in 4th gear.

I took my car to 114mph once, around 10,000 miles on the odo when I took a road trip to Bristol Speedway (Top Fuel drag racing). The traffic on I-81 eastbound was flowing @ 95mph. I figured, hell... might as well push my car another 20 mph just to see what it does.

Hmm really? I hit 105mph in my '98 civic lx (with the crappy base 106hp engine), and though I don't remember i'm pretty sure it was somewhere in the 4k rpm range, so hitting 125 (at least with my 1.6L) would've been difficult if not impossible...

I don't think i've gone over 90mph in my 1.7L '03 civic lx (never felt the urge to go faster...though, if it wasn't governed like you say i think i'd be able to hit 125mph, since it *feels* like the gear ratios are a bit wider in this model)...

However, both have auto trannies, so that's probably why

driven 133 or so (+/- 1 mph) in my 95 stock mazda mx-6
drive 100+ mph on the way home from college all the time (4 hours of rural area... 150 cows and 3 car on a 4 hour drive isnt a bad number usually.)

edit: when i was going 133, i hit a rather big hill, or else who knows how fast it could have gone =/ it was ungoverned and still had a good 3k rpm left.

165 on my '98 TL1000R, with a few thousand RPMs to go, it's nuts. Sportbikes are definitely made for it, everything was perfectly smooth, but it was a bit windy!

Why don't you believe those other's but we are to believe your 130 in a Tiburon?

Anyways....130-150 isn't very fast to me if I am on an expressway.

My driven speeds are 127-135 in a 1966 Mustang GT, constantly at around 120mph or so in my 1988 GT, around 140 in my GTI VR6, speed limiter on my 1996 Saturn SC2 (122mph or something)....

ridden at about 160mph in a custom car (little coupe body and a chevy LT1 from a corvette)

And that took some cojones! my '66 lowered and shelby modded at the front suspension became a bit unstable at 130 or so without ground effects. You could feel the breeze getting under it, know what I mean?
