No way is that right, my connection seems so slow. I know it is dependent on the site you are downloading from, but I have almost never gotten better than about 350K from any site. In fact, I am about to change my plan since I pay for 1.5 and it sucks.

Post what you pay for, I pay for a 1.5Mbps, but seem to get 1.25 from that site

Please post your connection that you pay for, and what result you get.

Thanks, my server had my limited to 100K for about 8 months before I checked my limits with my modem. My modem said that the bandwidth provided by my cable company was limited to 100K. I called them and they said "Oh, that is because you have eight computers connected". I have one computer, one laptop that is on about 1 day a month. I would really like to see what your actual speeds are on this site compared to what you pay for.

Hmm, looks like I'm not the only one with dialup. Now I don't feel so bad. Imagine, I could get broadband right now. Just give those guys a call, pay some money -- and wohoo! here you go. But, I'm not using dialup just for the heck of it or b/c I'm a mad freak. It's b/c the broadband company (all of them, for that matter) in my area charge $30/month for the line with 375MB of 'traffic' as they like to call it, and I'll have to pay 6 cents for every extra megabyte. My usual 'traffic' per day is about 40MBs, at least not less than 20 using dialup ISP if I'm extremely busy at home. To come to think of it... I'd use all of their pitiful 375MBs in about 10 days, and that if I won't be downloading any stuff, but I'm sure I won't be able to resist the vast downloading capabilities of broadband. And that would be like what? I'd have to pay extra $45 every month? That would be a total of $75. And for what? The same amount of data that I download with my $20 dialup subscription? You see, sometimes things can be so weird that dialup is more than x3 times better than broadband.
