I use a caliper. I was first tested by a pro at age 15 and a few times during college. Once the Accucheck came out I bought my own set. If you do it carefully and are consistent it gives you a good idea of where you're at. I usually test once a month or so, been doing so for years. I also use a tape measure on my neck, calves, waist, hips, thigh, biceps and forearms. Inches gained on the waist (for men or women) is usually the sign of a poor bulk.

Right now? Fat I gained 20 pounds last month but if history repeats itself it will be gone in the next month.
Lets hope so anyway.............
