How good does my Internet connection need to be for MW2?

Hey guys, I kind of want to get this game to kill some time over the winter since everyone says it is so great and addicting or whatever. My only problem is that my Internet connection to the room where my ps3 is in kind of sucks (in fact, I connect to the interne through my laptop since my ps3 and router don't mix so well).

So what are recommended speeds? Thank ye.

1.5mbps is probably the least that you want but 3.0mbps and above is highly recommended

i'm playing it on 256kbps. That much is fine, as long as you have good and consistent ping times.
