How has your job been affected by the economic downturn?

Well.. we're only getting one month pay as a bonus instead of the 2 months we got the last 3 years.
And we're only getting the basic inflation correction (1,5%) raise.

All in all, I can't eally complain

Just received an 8% raise, extra days off for the holidays and am still expecting around $5K bonus after the first of the year... .... but then I'm a multitasking mofo, I like my job and am considered a "go-getter" by the owners.



Work approx 45 hours a week in an office with 24/7 phone support as computer tech/database monkey for a restaurant chain.

I had to lay someone off, I'm quite sure I'll get zero raise and a very reduced Q4 bonus, and I'll be surprised if there aren't further layoffs in 2009. My company is directly tied to the economy and hiring; it's not a fun time right now.

Some coworkers have left, and some have been fired. I've had to help pick up some of the slack. More work.. same pay

20% cut in pay, off-set by only having to work 4 days a week now. Sucks, but at least I get 'something' for the pay cut.

The wife and I have pretty recession-proof jobs.

If it has affected us at all, it has made me more conservative with my finances.

No changes here. I did not get a 25% raise like last year, but that was expected ...
My company is moving to a bigger facility and hiring more people this coming year. I don't how the recession can affect what we do..unless DoD, Air Force, Nasa 's run out of money and our product doesn't sell.
