How high should I overclock a Core 2 Duo E6700?

I purchased a Dell XPS 700 PC with the 2.67GHz E6700 Core 2 Duo processor. I want to overclock it, I'm not looking to push it as far as it will go, I want it to be rock stable with it's existing fan cooling system.
What would you consider a reasonable clock speed to overclock it to without encountering any possible stability issues or heat problems?

As long as temps are ok then take it up as high as it'll go on a safe voltage.

100% FACT

Dell always locks their bios's. I dont care what chipset it has, and how many software programs you try, they wont work.

You might want to inform their company spokesman

"According to company spokesperson Liem Nguyen, although "Dell has unlocked the BIOS so that customers can overclock the processor themselves...at this time Dell is not factory overclocking the system." So there you have it, straight from the horse's mouth: Dell's not actually doing the dirty work here, but it is giving customers the opportunity to tweak and possibly fry their machines themselves."
