Wow... I can only imagine what you get with the S6 Edge!
I know very little of Samsung's history but I would venture a guess the reason they are so successful is because they are also one of the leading manufacturers of SoCs, memory, displays, batteries, etc.
When you're that vertically integrated it allows for two key things- a lot easier of a time at innovating, (because you are more intimately familiar with the new manufacturing technologies, better in-house prototyping, etc) and also an economic advantage so you can produce your own components cheaper than nearly anyone else can
Same reason Intel has an advantage being both a chip developer and manufacturer
It's not to say that being vertically integrated always going to be a great success story, but when if/when you pull it off right it's hard for anyone who needs to rely on external suppliers to compete
Yes yes yes this.If I were to buy an Android phone, Samsung is the last place I'd look. They're hideous.

Don't forget the robots, they make all the difference. Samsung human form killer robots are taking over the world.
Sister has a Samsung smartphone and it seems nice. Really nice camera too. About their SSDs? I'd a little leery about them since I've seen countless posts about them failing in all kinds of tech forums.
......
How did they get where they are today? How did they managed to come up with these technologies.

"Robot" is not the preferred nomenclature. Engineered American, please.
After the Korean War, South Korea was decimated. They were starving and poor. The saying " bali bali" which means quick, not slow was coined at this time. So, the bali revolution began. This meant that South Korea would stop at nothing to be a powerhouse nation.
How did companies such as Samsung, LG, and Hyundai come to dominate the market? Thru hardwork, innovation and willpower. And it happened very quickly.
:thumbsup:Also extreme amounts of government assistance pumping cash into the largest corporations because the government and corps were extremely heavily linked meaning that the welfare of the nation was directly correlated to how well the corporations were doing.
