How is the Logitech mx500/mx700

I was thinking of getting one of those, anyone have them that can share on how you would rate the product, confort, preformance and so on.

Absolutely superb. I have the MX500. Smooth as silk, games great (and I'm a hardcore FPS gamer). Lots of precision, the 2 side mouse buttons come in handy in games and while doing general computer stuff. Comfort is also superb, assuming you're right-handed. No complaints, except the drivers can be a little... flaky at times, but that's easy resolved by restarting the game.

I have the mx700 and is the best mouse I ever had. Great for games as it doesnt lag behind.

I also have the MX 700 and consider it one of the best. Do not game alot but is accurate and responds well. No issues with battery or charger. Left off the charger a couple of days with plenty of charge still in it.

mx500 isent the greatest, always skips and sometimes doesnt more at all, had to send mine back 2 times because they said the led er or laser was faulty

I have an MX300 and I really like it. I've used a friend's MX500 and the shape just seemed really unnatural to me. The only drawback to the MX300 IMO is no side buttons.

MX700 rocks !! get the MX Duo combination.. its cheaper than juz getting the mouse itself... and you'll love the wireless too...

You just said yourself it was crappy because the LED was faulty. Therefore, please don't make a blanket statement.

Have one, but I don't use it for FPS gaming, it lags a tad IMO.
For anything else it's fine though.

I used an MX700 before and traded it off. I didn't like how I had to lift my thumb to click the thumb buttons.
Being a logitech man... I went with a Mouseman Dual Optical with it's thumb button on the bottom.
I suggest you drop by Best Buy or Office Depot and see how you like the fit of the MX?00 before you buy one.
