This case has an antec 350W PS
stats and description here
I need the case for a barton 2500 (at 3200+ hopefully)
I'll also have 2 optical drives, 2 hard drives and a radeon 9800.

Is this a good purchase for $70? Or do you know of something better/cheaper that will handle the system I'm building?

I own that case and I love it. It is by far the nicest case I have owned. It will be fine for your system. $70 is a good deal. I got mine from NewEgg.com.

I've got 2 of these working now. One w/ Athlon XP 2100+ and the other w/ Athlon 2800+/Barton. Excellent cooling properties w/good PS. Lots of room too. Ordered 2 more today. Would definately recommend this case.

My friend has one and I have to say its the best stock case available. If you are going to get one, get the the 3700BQE version because its a newer version to the older non bqe 3700. The bqe has low restriction grills and they changed the way the hd mounts. If you are going to be keeping this case for a while, I say splurge a little and get this nice case

The 3700AMB is awsome, the best case I've ever used. The 3700BQE is brand new and slightly improved. It has low restriction fan grills, a quieter stock PSU and 120mm fan and a different (but not necessarily better, IMHO) HDD mounting cage.

I'd get which ever was less expensive, between the AMB and the BQE. Not that long ago the 3700 AMB was a real bargain at $62 from Newegg, now it's going for $83 there, though they currently ship it for free. (Let's see, $83 minus the $18 for the "free shipping" equals $65. Doh! The games vendors play with the shipping charge.) The BQE is only $77, but add about $18 for shipping ($95). Directron has the AMB for $65, but add about $15 for ground shipping ($80).

Hmm, no real clear winner on price, so I guess that I'd pay a few dollars more and get the BQE, too. I don't think that anyone would be disappointed with either one, though.

i have the 3700amb, the 3700 is my favorite stock case. The 120 mm fans are a good bonus. If you are going to get the amb version, i reccomend cutting out the pre-fab fan grills (jig-saw works well). The only thing i wished it was was a removable motherboard tray.

My review is one word ... WOW

I just finished installing this case today and it's an impressive case let me tell ya. It's also the small things that impressed me, like the fact that I was able to easily snake the wires in this case so they are pretty much out of the way. The removable floppy drive cage, the removable drive rails with rubber gommets. The front 120mm fans blows on the HD's you can't beat that. And that Antec back fans that's included, you cannot hear it, I put my ear to it and still could not hear it. Ontop of that I lined the case with Akasa Pax-Mate on both inner sides and on the inside top, I also have a Vantec fan controller that controls the front and back fans. Now I'm kicking myself for going with the included AMD heatsink instead of a Zalman coz that's the loudest thing I hear right now which is nearly nothing. Just to tell you how quiet this case is, I can hear the Seagate cudas and they are some of the most quiet drives out there, this case is quiet.

Here's what I have.

Antec 3700-QBE lined with Akasa Pax-Mate
and Enermax Adj. Fan in front and Vantec Fan controller.
Antec True-Blue 480 Watt PSU
Asus K8V Deluxe with AMD64 3200.
2 x 512 Kingston HyperX PC3500
ATI AIW 9800 Pro
3 x 160 Gig Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 SATA drives
Plextor PX-708A DVDRW/CDRW Drive
LG CD-RW GCE-8320B 24x10x40
Monitor HP P1110 Trinitron FD
Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro with Megaworks 550's
