My apartment complex apparently had a contract with Comcast that was keeping other providers from offering service so that's been my ISP for the last 4 years. They also had this "Comcast saver package" that took $40 off of my Comcast bill and added it to my rent. I had no idea what that was for until now.
We finally got a new internet provider and obviously I bailed on Comcast but apparently the apartments aren't letting me opt out of the $40 payment that's on my rent every month that's supposedly only meant to cover my Comcast bill. They could not give me any other explanation of what that payment was for other than paying my nonexistent Comcast bill.
My question is how are they legally able to charge me for a service that I'm no longer receiving?
