I am currently using the following software for protection on the PC just wandering how it stacks up:

  • FireFox for browser
    Thunderbird for email
Antivir XP (free) for virus scanner (always on)
Zone Alarm (free) Firewall (always on)
    Spyware Blaster (always on)
    Spyware Guard (always on)
    Spybot S&D (daily)
    Ad-Aware (daily)
    CrapCleaner (daily)
    RegScrubXP (weekly)
    RegSeeker (weekly)
    Ewido Free (weekly scans)

I would remove some of the redundancy:

Spyware Blaster (always on)
Spyware Guard (always on)
CrapCleaner (daily)
RegScrubXP (weekly)
RegSeeker (weekly)
Ewido Free (weekly scans)

and add that you should use a limited account for daily use (use admin only when necessary).

Might I recommend a tin-foil hat to go with all that. Don't want microsoft reading your mind now do you?

Seriously that is too much and will hurt system performance worse than the spyware would. Try Firewall + Anti-virus + don't run as admin

In case you completely ignored the other posts, nobody uses this much, it's overkill. You can safely run windows without any of it.

You are headed in the right direction by avoiding Outlook and IE. As some others have said, there seems to be a little redundancy in your spyware software.

Maybe try eliminating some of the excessive software and see if your performance improves.
