I wonder how many more attacks, bad behavior (ie Cologne) etc.. happen before a backlash begins against Muslim immigrants and you end up seeing the pendulum swing to the other extreme?

but I wonder if at some point the welcome is over and the opposite occurs and you get the other extreme.

If more of these attacks continue at some point as history shows you will see an equal and opposite reaction. Europeans will start thinking about the old days before all these muslims came in. The suicide bombers were Muslim.

I can attribute that to a number of things. Most notably, our media refuses to make an issue of it unless it means ratings gains for them. On the political side of the issue, these domestic home grown terrorists or patriots (depending on a person's perspective), represent a crucial voting demographic for a certain political party, and said party will refuse to acknowledge that or denounce their association with them for obvious reasons, but mostly because as their party shrinks, every vote becomes proportionately more precious.

You are a nice guy and are pretty reasonable, but your comment does nothing to help. I'm sure you want to make sure that people don't hate all Muslims for these types of things, but the link is not nothing. Culture and religion are parts of the same whole here. You cant change one without changing the other. We give religion a pass and we should not. If you want to argue that we need to hold all religious followers accountable, fine, but lets not pretend that Islam does not have a problem. It does a disservice to those who suffer from horrible people that use religion as their justification.
