Iam a Christian, and I have been struggling with lusting be it in person or in pictures/movies. I've found that the best method is to just act like a Women's gorgeous behind or rack isnt there and completely ignore it, also when it comes to p0rn and what not, I find the best method is to just keep busy at all time, and not actually surf the net, usually when i get bored i go look at p0rn or something. ---Now heres my question, how is a man supposed to contain himself sexually? if sex before marriage is wrong, masturbation is wrong, then there is no way for a man to relieve himself without sinning? The build up of sexual tension is so strong, that to relieve it is like a natural process just like using the bathroom or something. I think God intended us to all have wives at age 16 or so..so we wouldnt have theese problems in our later years.

Being Agnostic, mostly for the reason that religion is a hell hole. I say that God wanted you to go do it. Religion is a man made annoyance that everyone seems to accept. How can you fight such urges like that. From what I've heard in the history channel, masturbation was made illegal because gay priests did it back in the day. This one priest didn't like it an made it a sin. Remember, Religion has been through the hands of man for a long time, along the way, changes can happen. Man-made, meaning don't believe everything people tell you, or everything you read.

Who would want to go to heaven anyway? Heaven is described as utopia. Everyone knows that a utopian society always fails. "There shall be no more pain or death." If there are no downs how can you notice the ups. In my opinion, Heaven sounds a lot like Hell. Ever seen that Twilight Zone episode where the this gambler dies and goes to a casino and he starts playing and wins everytime. No more pain. This is also a sure fire way to pick up any girl and be blinded by your lust. If you don't release it, how are you gonna think clearly when you pick your woman. Face it man, you gotta learn how to survive in the world. And to survive, you need to think clearly,.. especially when trying to marry someone. And trust me on this one, YOU CAN'T THINK CLEARLY WITH BLUE BALLS. Plus, with all the sinners around here, what if you get someone who is a transvestite. You never know, but you won't until you get married and then you'll be in the sht-hole. Think about it.

we are all of us human. we are all subject to many desires from our humanity. i am hungry so i eat. i am thirsty, so i drink. i am angry so i kill. i am scared, so i run away. i am ignorant, so i fail.

we are all of us subject to so many things within ourselves and in the world we live in. we really have no freedom from our own humanity. we are compareable to animals who are incapable of going against what is natural for them to do. Even though we are capable of higher thought and better decisions, we are sinful and disconnected from God, and so we are subject to all that comes out of it being this way.

But praise God that he came down and saved us through the sacrafice of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God in the flesh and he can transform our lives completely because he loves us 100%.

So what... they even have an answer to what love is? They seem to have an answer for everything that noone else does. How does someone tell you what love is? It varies, it's indescribable. And sometimes it's BS. Like in the first quote of Christiananswers, something so unrealistic. Never say never.

I kinda like this one though. In any case, how can you know you are going for the right person, if you are so overwhelmed with emotion, that you might mistake love for lust. That's why I say clear your mind. If you choose not to have sex, at least masturbate. You aren't killing anything. And if you say sperm, don't say it. Too many die in the process of making babies, by themselves, they'll probably die inside you anyway since they don't live long. So what is it?

Sometimes people see how crazy one person can become, such as a p2p program and a porn addict we'll say, and see the "evil" of it and outlaw it. But one outlaws it without understanding because like everything in life we must exercise self control. Take in all the pleasures, but don't be stupid about it. But to completely block off and be sexually frustrated, especially with the ass that's floating around in the summer... F that. That's like gritting your teeth and smiling when you just want to burst into a yell... like someone who beats you up everyday after school and you are powerless to do anything about it. It keeps building and building and building. Don't snap.

Why the bible has to make it hard for us who knows? But I know this and mean no disrespect. The Bible is not understandable. Why? Because it is a collection of many different works. Works that could have been written in many different styles. Therefore it is nearly impossible to know what the author was really trying to convey without his input of his writing style. Which we don't have.

And for churches to ask people to read is pretty stupid. Because people don't know it's a collection of works that come in very different styles of writing. I don't know if you know, but when you give something this complex to the ignorant, things begin to happen. Such as false beliefs. This I don't agree with.

I struggle every day to. It?s a part of life. Some take matters in their own hands. Some ask others to help. Some ask, get rejected and have to take matters in their own hands.

Another point is to not to dwell on it. The more you dwelling on it, you might not be able to solve it with your own hands. In which could lead to bad things.

exactly, why do they make it hard? if you knew, you would understand. it is complex beyond anything ever written. the things that are obviously difficult and clash with today's society are not meant to be taken at face value and immediately (unless you have strong faith). it is only logical to have skepticism - the bible knows this, but if you go further you will have your explanation.

you at least sound like you are intelligent enough to consider what may possibly be. now take the next step and see what 2 billion, or 1/3rd of the entire world see in it. heck, consider other faiths, like buddhism (very interesting and makes a lot of sense) and whatnot, and draw your own conclusions. you only stand to gain.

yes, the bible is not understandable to most, but we do have the resources to understand it - you just choose not to find it (or didnt know about it). you need guidance. start with the basics (gospels). then move on to greater things. different styles, writers, cultures, centuries of time, this is what the church is for. they have been there since the beginning. they are here to help us interpret - correctly. they are scholars, doctors, ph.d's, teachers, etc.

it is all there. it is all provided for. we all had to start somewhere. we were all like you. msg me if you have more on your mind, otherwise these kinds of discussions just turn into bashing.
