How long do you have to wait when the meeting organizer doesn't show?

I keep getting invited to meetings by a person who has rapidly acquired a reputation as someone who is always late or never shows to their own meetings. What's the amount of time I have to wait before I can go back to my regularly scheduled program?

I'm thinking 10 minutes seems about right.

I dunno man, if I haven't been notified that they are going to be late by them or their assistant I only wait 5 minutes. I have work to do, meetings are usually huge wastes of time.

This. I usually start violent cabals anytime a manager is more than a few minutes late. They think it shows leadership potential. I say it shows that I'm an alpha-male not to be trifled with. Everyone wins.

5 minutes is plenty. If you call a meeting, you should be there 5 minutes early to prepare. The only words that will hold me are "So and so just paged, he said he's running late because he got held up when he went to get donuts and juice for the meeting". Then, I'll give it 15.

10-15 mins. As the organizer if you attendees dont show, less than 10 mins is acceptable.

There's a lot of factors but I'd say 10 minutes is a good rule in general though at five minutes I'd probably be trying to find out where the person is unless it was a fairly large meeting.
