Yup. Lots of capital-gains tax rate at work there. He's said that he pays a lower tax rate than his secretary.


Our tax rates are progressive up to a certain point, then they plateau. Then you enter into the realm of being able to buy your way to a lower tax rate. If you're a particularly wealthy organization, you can even push your tax burden percentage into negative territory.

also, it's somewhat lame when inputting low incomes, and lame with incomes over 2 million.
It would be nice if they tiered the responses for ridiculously high incomes, and had more accuracy in the low income range
