Early 2003. My brother joined in I think 1999 but it wasn't until 2003 that I registered for the forums. We both came across Anandtech because we were into computer hardware and building our own computers (which I still do though I don't keep up with hardware).

The NDA has long expired. I raised hell and I kept raising hell. In the end, they sent me the monitor, a few sticks of ram, a couple HDs, A couple Voodoo cards and a sound blaster awe gold, and much more, in fact, enough stuff to build a couple systems. I ended up making a lot of money on that deal.

I think this is how everyone ended up here. My last build was like ~6 years ago? I haven't kept up with computer hardware much since then. And then after a while on AT, you get sucked into the abyss known as OT. D:
