How long is your work week?

I'm currently working a 40 hour work week, but I'll probably be expanding that out to at least 60 if not more in the near future. For those of you who work the long work weeks, how do you cope with it and is it important to your field to work so long?

Supposed to be 40.. but on average its closer 45. I don't really take a lunch besides heating up my food then eating it in my office while working.

I work 3 and 4 12 hour/day weeks alternating. So 33/45 after lunch breaks.

I stick to 40 hours per week on average. I only work more in the case of tight project deadlines, which was the case before the holidays.

I work a 14 day rotation. One week is 60 hours and the second is 24 hours, every other weekend is F-S-S off. I love my schedule.

40 hours, or more specifically 160 hour 4-week schedules. I can work 60 hours one week, and only 20 the next, for example. But in a given 4 week schedule it's always 160. This is spread across weekends too. Typically it's 4 days of 12 hours with like 3-4 days off. Quite nice actually. There's one schedule I had lot of 12's, and even had one stretch of 6 12's nights, which are super easy as I can sleep in, so I'm not as tired. Then I ended up with 7 days in a row off. Love shift work!

40-44, unless there's an outage, am on-call, or it's the end of the year and we're rushing to finish up capital projects.

Long weeks kind of suck but the overtime pay makes it not nearly as bad.
