Was going to wait to see if it drops more in May but at 89.00 with GCO, no tax and free shipping got it now. Best DDR2 for this price period!

That's well less than 1/2 the prices elsewhere and worth every penny imo considering the brand. Nice find, let's see how long i'll stay instock

Thank you very much ! Awesome deal. I almost bought the PC2 1000s which went out of stock at mwave, but i really dont need anything faster than ddr2 800.
Awesome!

Same situation I was in! Didn't really need more than this speed.

I purchased a gig (512x2) of this back in October, and it was $125 after a $25 rebate. Wish the old rig had held out till now. At least I'll have a nice 3 gigs in the system.

I want to wait and see how much cheaper this can get, but 90 bucks for great overclocking ram is hard to beat.

I'm in as well. For this price, it was worth the extra $10-20 over the other brands of ddr2-667.

Ok, I'm sure this has been asked a ton of times but... With Vista 32bit if I have 4gb total ram will I lose my dual channel capabilities? This is a great price, and I think it would be a good time to stock up, but I don't want to lose performance.

well as far as 4gb and 32bit OS is concerned, u'll only see 3.5gb of usable memory due to the OS Limitation. The only way around that is by using 64 bit edition of XP/Vista. another thing to consider is losing the 1T command timing when using all 4 banks of the mb but most folks wont notice the performance difference and boards dont set 1T CMD by default anyways.

Edit: You wont lose the Dual channel mode either since u'll still be using paired slots.

Yes it is....

Does anyone know how crucial customer service is? Is RMAing fairly easy. Never had to deal with them.

Ah, thanks DeltaQ  I wasn't sure with your original reply, but your edit answered my question. The 1T and 2T command timing is only used on AMD systems right? I've never seen anything like that in my Intel bios'

Funny you should ask... I had a stick of ram go up sometime last night. Their CS was very easy to deal with, and near as I can tell I have some new ram being cross shipped to me. You need a CC# to cross ship, but I'm sure that's standard procedure with all companies.

I bought this same ram last fall from ZipZoomFly(I think) for $220 after rebate. Newegg was selling the same thing for $400+ I'm guessing Newegg doesn't have the same relationship with Crucial that other dealers have, and can't offer as steep a discount.

I am going to be building a new rig sometime soon and was looking to get some
Corsair RAM
which after rebat is about 20 bucks more for a pack...

I am not much of a memory guru...the two brands I know and trust are Cosair and Crucial...and I have two sticks of Crucial right now in my current system and have never had a problem...

What would Jared do?? Is one brand favored over the other?

if you get two packs? Or would that not work?

Wouldnt work, cause youd only be able to get 1 rebate...

On another matter. Does anyone know if google checkout would void the rebate?

Limit one rebate per eligible Crucial Ballistix memory kit per household.

SO...nevermind
