5-5-5 highest can go to 1050, which makes me think even though these are Ballistix good memory, they are probably the lower grade of the bunch.

I got mine yesterday shipped via UPS Mail Innovations. Took 6 days from date of order to be delivered from California to Louisiana. Not too bad for free shipping. Ended up good, as I got my motherboard and CPU from mwave.com the same day. I will be putting all this together today to see what I get.

Some people contacted crucial, and they are saying they want the UPCs from the anti-static bags, not the box. Check this out: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1189313

They are going to screw alot of people over if they stick with that... It makes no sense to me, since the rebate form clearly says from the packaging. Ive never heard of a upc from anti-static bag lmao.

If its true, thats friggin ridiculous. I already sent both rebates in using the BOX UPC. I also no longer have one of the kits so....I couldnt even get the anti-static bag upc.

WTF is Crucial doing confusing the issue? Good thing I haven't sent the two rebates I need to send in. Guess I'll be sending the anti-static bags in as well.

The buy.com packing slip UPC matches the one on the box, not the one on the anti-static pack, so this doesn't make any sense.

The MWave packing slip shows no UPC.

I am sure they will clear this up, but how utterly pathetic to get everyones panties in a wad....

Yeah I emailed crucial. I said the exact same thing. I asked why they were telling people it is the anti-static bag. Especially when the buy.com packing slip UPC CODE matches the BOX UPC code and not the anti-static bag's. Ive never heard of a company wanting a upc from an anti-static bag, over the box upc.

Not to mention it's nice to have an intact anti-static bag for storage or re-sale. This is a practice that Crucial should terminate.....

This is moronic. I bought a similar module rated 1000 from mwave. At the top part of the rebate form it says "UPC code from the memory module product packaging", the wording is vague but it seems they are referring to the static bags since they are using "module" in singular form. However, down at the bottom of the page they say "original UPC code from the product packaging that your memory modules came in" which to me seems like they mean UPC from brown box. Since the latter wording appears under the actual "TERMS AND CONDITIONS" section it would appear it should override any previous wording. Personally I'll send the UPC from brown box. I bought a kit, rebate is for a kit, not an individual module, it doesn't make sense to send UPC from antistatic bag.

I would search on Google for both UPC codes and see what comes up for each.

If you havent mailed it in yet and arent sure just send all three.
I would think it was the UPC from the box because the sample UPC on the rebate form said UPC and the numbers matched the buy.com packing slip #. Im sure it will be fine. If not I have copies of everything and still have the baggies if thats what they want. Like I said earlier I did the same $40 rebate on a crucial kit last Oct. from Zipzoomfly and sent in the box upc and everything went fine.

At least that is reassuring. I would think it would be fine, and the people giving this info at crucial are just morons. It is freaking absurd to think they would want people cutting holes in anti-static bags, possibly scrapping the memory, to get UPC symbols. On top of that, the rebate is for the kit, not one module. If that wasnt enough, the buy.com packing slip shows the UPC code for it. That codes matches with the BOX UPC and NOT with the anti-bag upcs. Unfortunately, the newegg packing slip does not show the UPC code.

The way I look at it, if I had to send in both anti-static bag UPCS, they should give me $100 check for each UPC code(Newegg deal).
