At least that is reassuring. I would think it would be fine, and the people giving this info at crucial are just morons. It is freaking absurd to think they would want people cutting holes in anti-static bags, possibly scrapping the memory, to get UPC symbols. On top of that, the rebate is for the kit, not one module. If that wasnt enough, the buy.com packing slip shows the UPC code for it. That codes matches with the BOX UPC and NOT with the anti-bag upcs. Unfortunately, the newegg packing slip does not show the UPC code.
The way I look at it, if I had to send in both anti-static bag UPCS, they should give me $100 check for each UPC code(Newegg deal).
