How many 5ghz wifi (N) capable devices do you own?

It seems ridiculous to me that dual band N routers have been pushed for YEARS, but so few consumer devices can use the 5ghz band today. Even my year old laptop and phone aren't 5ghz capable, much less all my older devices. With AC around the corner, 5ghz N seems even more pointless.

So I want to know, how many of you actually use 5ghz N?

None, even the newer ASUS gaming laptop I bought only has a 2.4Ghz b/g/n adapter, no 5Ghz.

I didn't even bother setting up the 5Ghz network on my latest router, nothing uses it.

I've got a dozen or so, thinking off the top of my head ... perhaps more. I keep the consumer electronics on 2.4, since that's native to them, and I put all other data stuff on 5GHz where the air is clear and the data runs wild like the wind ... ;-)

What do you mean data stuff, like wireless bridges or other routers?

Laptops mostly. I also have a video distribution system, and some microcontroller-based things I made that do various tasks.

I don't have any wireless repeaters or bridges of either flavor. I occasionally test some APs and routers in AP configuration, but I don't count those because they're not permanent.

Zero. I love competition, and there's nothing better than a 2.4ghz wireless router competing with 18 other routers on the same channel.

I don't even think I have a 2.4ghz N band device, unless my phone has it, I honestly hate wifi for everything except the lightest browsing

Two tablets currently (three if you count the Xoom I just transferred to my parents), my last three phones, two laptops (work + personal), Roku 3, and I believe even my TV (Panasonic VT60) have all supported 5 GHz. At this point virtually everything I have that is used regularly is 5 GHz. The only things that don't are my PS3, 360, and Kindle.

So currently in use I guess that makes 7.

On a side note, I hope there is a special place in hell for the Roku designer that decided to make the wi-fi direct remote frequency hop to chase the wireless network it is connected to for data. One of these days I'm going to go buy a good 5 GHz bridge to use for all my entertainment stuff mostly just so I can lead the Roku to clear spectrum and ditch it there by putting it on Cat5. It annoys me to no end that the only other 5 GHz AP I see is my Roku sitting directly on the frequency my Ubiquiti AP is using.

I've got a couple devices but I find the 2.4GHz to have better range and sufficient speed for everything I need around the apartment. For some odd reason my 5GHz channel seems to loose strength in the bedroom...4 year old router too. It's time for a replacement.
