I thought 2.2 million were going to die? sounds like trump cut that number by well over 90%?
let me guess, that's what Trump told you.
because no one else has been saying it.

Fewer than 1 in 10 (9%) Americans have a great deal of confidence in Trump to confirm vaccine effectiveness with another 18% reporting only a "good amount" of confidence in the poll conducted by Ipsos in partnership with ABC News using Ipsos' Knowledge Panel. In contrast, 69% don't have confidence in the president vouching for a vaccine, including 16% saying "not so much" and 53% saying "none at all."
Who exactly made that claim?
Exhibit 9 million how everything Trump touches just turns into shit. His superpower is anti-credibility.
That is a conservative number (4.5 million).
Based on actual numbers, the number of resolved cases vs. body counts it worse, much worse.
Thus the actual mortality rate for RESOLVED cases is 4.9%
- approximately 4.1 million have recovered
- 202K have died.
A common figure for herd immunity is if 65% of the population become immune, which is 215 million people, and once every case "resolves" that would mean that Trump really intends for 10,500,000 Americans to die.
And he fucking doesn't care...
AND and it is a big fucking 'and' the death rate percentage will go much higher. At the current infection rates hospitals and staff are close to capacity. The current hospitalization rate for covid patients is 4.6% (according to the CDC). There are not enough hospital beds, ICU's, doctors, and nurses to care for 10,000,000 patients in the period of a year or so. And that is in addition to all the other diseases, heart attacks, accidents, strokes, etc., etc... that require hospitalization.
South Texas already hit the "go home and die" at one point. Go home and die is not a standard of care.
Then there is the cost. This would bankrupt insurance, medicare, medicaid, hospitals, and individuals. So I guess "go home and die" will be the standard of care.
Is the pandemic over? Can I go outside without a mask now?
Would it be possible for Trump to face a trial for crimes against humanity at some point?
I would pay for plane tickets for everybody here to sit in the gallery at The Hague.
I would think it would be more of an American thing than a UN thing after all he didn't prevent New Zeland, Denmark and Japan from having extremely low death count.
Does it make a difference if it's "in-house"?
Hitler killed mostly German Jews, but still faced trial for crimes against humanity.
Hitler didn't face trial, bro...

I was going to deep dive this utterly false comment but decided to just give you a fact checking link:
Jewish Losses during the Holocaust: By Country
Before the Nazi rise to power, the countries of Europe had varied and vibrant Jewish communities. By 1945, two out of every three European Jews had been killed.encyclopedia.ushmm.org
Yeah yeah yeah..
So, more Hungarian Jews died than German Jews.
Were there perhaps more Hungarian Jews to be killed than there were German Jews? What was the population count. Then apply the percentages.
If there were 100 German Jews, and Hitler killed 98 of them, and there were 1000 Hungarian Jews, and Hitler killed 98 of them.
Which country lost more Jews?
Yeah his utter incompetence shouldn't allow him to hide behind POTUS absolute immunityWould it be possible for Trump to face a trial for crimes against humanity at some point?

He's not he is hiding behind the republican senate.
I think those were the IHME projections from late March/April that if the pandemic ripped through the country unchecked you could see 2M deaths. I don't know what there is to congratulate Trump for in avoiding that fate since he threw up his hands and left the governors to act which they did largely before him.

Yeah, Viper got that wrong, but (a) it's surely a side-issue, and (b), if Hitler _had_ only killed German Jews, might he not have ended up facing an international court anyway - as others have done since who "only" killed ethnic minorities within their borders?
Is not the relevant point that he targeted a group based on race? It's difficult to claim that Trump's dire performance on COVID19 was specifically genocidal in intent. Seems more like incompetence.
....and to work out who is to blame for an incompetent ending up running the country seems a very complex question. I'd start with those vastly over-rated 'founding fathers' of yours, if it was up to me.
“We’re rounding the corner. With or without a vaccine. They hate when I say that but that’s the way it is," Trump said. "We’ve done a phenomenal job. Not just a good job a phenomenal job. Other that public relations but that’s because I have fake news. On public relations I give myself a D on the job itself we take an A+.”
Trump is probably worse than someone committing 'genocide', he has utter contempt for everyone. He only tolerates those he can use, and only as long as they are useful. When the rich don't contribute to his campaign, or dare to speak against them, they are of no use (Bill Gates). When a governor speaks up in opposition, he is completely willing to let the people of that state die.In trump case he wasn't going for 'genocide' he was arguing that the 'economy' is more important than the masses lives. Yes that is quite sad that the very people who support him he views as throw-away to enrich him and his buddies. But of course that is what makes them 'stupid'; they are happy to make this exchange to have someone in the white-house who will publicly support their cause (and of course trump will support ANY cause that will enrich himself).
