We haven't flattened anything because the focus has mainly been in 3 counties. Other counties numbers are increasing quickly. Example.. 5 days ago, we had no confirmed cases in Spokane County.. we now have 29 (up from 16 yesterday) , and this is with a partial stay at him rules in place (social distancing rules).. restaurants are pickup/delivery only, no groups larger than 50 people, all schools, entertainment, parks etc closed. has been for a week now. Problem is, there are tons of people ignoring such rules. 300 new cases and 15 more deaths since yesterday state wide. I guess what I am saying is we are about to climb with all other counties getting hit now.

The more he has to appear sober and somber and try to follow a script or speak in measured tones, the more he itches to just start on rants about “nasty” reporters and crazy Democrats and whatever. The rallies are also used by his campaign to develop mailing lists and solicit donations. The demand for secret payouts to corporations is largely about funneling that money back into his campaign.
Trump doesn't want to focus on the crisis any more. His attention span is less than that of a 3 year old. Everyday he has to stand up there and say something, and he's getting tired of it. This is the one agenda he can't control. He can't turn coverage to anything else. If he tells everyone they can come out now he can turn his attention to something else.
