2 Pc's just laying around that I was given ( haven't had time to touch them yet)

* This laptop was specially built off an iBook clamshell to take a trip to Cancun, Mexico. It was an unexpected test of it's purportedly indestructible construction. The Linux operating system did not survive (thanks to the TSA), though the hardware got battered heavily, it still functions fully. It presently sits, awaiting a fresh install of a new, airport-security-proof operating system.

I don't count old computers (under Pentuim 3 1ghz or a via epia) as I would not use them unless for a firewall, but damn how many firewalls can you have.

Anyway.

The answer for me is 7

5 gaming rigs (lowest is a P4 2.8C with a 6800GT, newest a A64 4400+, but there are 2 of those)
and 2 laptops, 1 for work, one is a Macbook

4 desktops (just got a free one yesterday - an old ibm aptiva p3 500mhz)

1 laptop...

but i mainly use the desktop and the HTPC we have. the 2 fastest ones we have, hah.

2 laptops, 2 desktops currently and 1001 old componants under my bed from random upgrades and rebuilds over the yrs. Ill prolly start building 2 more rigs for my kids later from the old parts.. they are only 5 and 4 yrs old atm so i have a while to think about it.
