I currently have tmobile for personal use and the service is great at work, it can be spotty at home indoors. The previous guy who handled the cellphone distribution at work has left and currently we are on verizon. We stand to save a lot of money going to tmobile, I'm just worried that in the field there might be issues with coverage, though I've heard tmobile has greatly improved this.

I just work from home 3x a week which has wifi calling, and the reception is good at work. I pretty much get good reception everywhere else I go, but I'm not a sales guy who travels to a ton of different places so I don't really have a good gauge on that.

Wondering about the guys who switched over to tmobile if you are happy with it, granted I know I might not get verizon coverage but the savings is big enough I can live with the that if the coverage difference is minor.

If we're talking about switching for business, definitely you'll need to verify that coverage works in all the places you operate. My employer uses Sprint currently (yuck) only because they are the only carrier that works at all of our business locations.

I switched to Tmo from Sprint about 3 years ago and am very happy. I had spotty coverage at my house, but wifi calling solved that issue. Now theres full LTE there.

TMo is great as long as you get coverage where you need it.

I switched in December and am relatively happy. It's certainly not Verizon, but I knew that. Signal penetration especially seems lacking.

But still happy overall.

In my experience with it, building penetration is comparatively poor and you still get the occasional dead spot you don't get with the other carriers. I'm not saying don't switch, just make sure you have ample reception in all of the areas you operate including indoors.

service is ok... a number of dead spots while in my car but ok/good at destinations.

free international data is the main reason i am with them.

I switched from sprint a bit under 2 years ago and couldn't be happier. No coverage issues here but it is spotty on occasion if we travel. Upside is the wifi calling is great so that covers that mostly.

I mostly love the speeds I get and the unlimited music streaming. The VoLTE to wifi calling transitioning is great too.

I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile at the end of the December. I am using a Moto G so I don't get wifi calling.

So far it has been fine. Coverage isn't as good as Verizon but it is adequate. I am happy with the switch.

With the way cell phone companies are finally starting to wake up, anytime someone asks me about cell phone providers I always tell them to check their coverage at the places they use it most. With good coverage where you use it most, there's less complaining.

Regardless, I was on Sprint past 2 years after being on Tmobile pre-paid for 6 years prior. One of my phones went back to pre-paid Tmobile and their pre-paid plans have arguably improved. Customer service has always been helpful provided you don't give them an attitude. Go nice and buddy, buddy and just like in real-life people will be nice to you.

I went the other way.

Switched from T-Mobile to Cricket Wireless (AT&T) which offers unlimited talk/text/20GB LTE for $55/mo with no taxes or fees.

I'm on the fence to switch over a line to cricket too.. I wish the $100 switch promo was still going on. I'd move 4 out of 5 lines over

2. 4 lines on cricket
3. 4 lines on tmo (wife) (etf paid so moving her over to#1 middle of the month.

Was going to move some more lines over to cricket for the $100 promo but it's over. i'm hoping it comes back before the middle of the month and i'm moving 6 lines over if it does.

Some sort of a pyramid business scheme?

Edit: Obviously it is a joke. I myself run two lines for my sophisticated racketeering enterprise.

I was able to stack 3 specials when I switched, it was awesome.

Since then they've increased the data several times. 5GB --> 10GB --> 20GB LTE for $55/mo with no taxes or weird regulatory fees.

This isn't the old ghetto Cricket Wireless, it's actually AIO which is now Cricket. Cricket is basically AT&T's prepaid brand.

T-Mobile has had the same good, quality of service as AT&T for everywhere I have gone, so I'm very happy. I'm on their $100 for 4 plan, with 2.5GB of hotspot-able data for each person. Thinking about transferring to their $100, unlimited data for two people plan.

Dang ... that's a great deal.

Too bad they don't have a trial like Tmobile does. I have no idea what AT&T coverage is like around here.

Thanks!

As I suspected, no coverage. It sucks living here at times. I think the last real piece of technology we got around here are those balls you hang from a truck's trailer hitch.

You're welcome.

How is Sprint in your area? If Verizon is your only viable option, I'd consider PagePlus.

Actually checking the T-Mobile site they show coverage in my area as being "good". Looks like my Note 2 isn't supported though. Maybe I'll do the trial and see how it works.

I've been using a original unlocked samsung nexus, nexus 4, lg g2 (verizon version) and a few other phones I've had to mish mash some roms to get everything working. Finally got to using my actual tmobile phone (with all the right bands for it). LTE seems to penetrate the building I live in way better.

Kicking myself for playing with some many phones kernels and roms when what I needed was a phone with all the proper bands.
