I think the Russians lost the most in casualities. Germany lost the most percentage I think... oh well.

Total casualties in civilian and militaries around the world was over 60 million, with the soviets losing the most.

Allies lost close to 75,000 people during the Battle of the Bulge
and I think the Germans lost 69,000. Just a general number.

no one is quite sure how many the russians lost, they're all just figures derived from population estimate beforehand and population estimate afterward while factoring in immigration and natural birth/death rate. and a lot of those deaths during that time span may not have been due to german influence.

oopsie, i was wrong. ww2 casualties, scroll to bottom for ww2 and ww1 casualties.

unimaginable numbers here

Soviet Union 20,000,000 casualties civilian and military (poor saps)
China 3,000,000- 15,000,000. The latter number is more likely. (i'm surprised)
Germany 4,500,000 including 1,000,000 civilians.
Japan 2,000,000 casualties.
Bengal 1,500,000 died of war-related famine in 1943 in Bengal
Yugoslavia 1,300,000 including 1,000,000 civilians
Italy 500,000 casualties.
France 500,000 casualties half of them civilians.
Britain less than 500,000 but with 120,000 additional from the Empire.
United States less than 300,000 died; additional hundred thousands died in industry (we got off relatively easy)
Hungary, Poland, Rom 3-400,000 losses in each army of Hungary, Poland and Romania.
East & CentralEurope 4,300,000 to 5,800,000 Jews died as well as a similar number of slaws.

Yup, but nonetheless the Germans did kill a SH!TLOAD of Russians...

I know the Russians lost more than 7 million soldiers though...(What nefro said)

But all records you'll find will all be varying and most likely inaccurate...

No Canada eh...nice well we had 42,000 casualties if anyone wants to know.
China was getting raped by the Japanese.
You've got to remember the US statistics are off-base from the rest because:
Your homeland wasn't attacked
You didn't fight the whole war

Every person that thinks the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki needs to take a loot at the Chinese casualty numbers . . . the Japanese did some absolutely horrific things to China during the war.

yup there was an exhibit on japanese attrocities i saw a while ago... freaky stuff. they were definetly as twisted as the nazis. experients on humans, freezing em to study hypothermia, biological warfare through massive plague/flea breeding programs. rape of nanking i think it was. one especially nasty picture i was was a sword (i think) sticking out of the genitals of one dead woman.

The atrocities the Chinese had to endure at the hands of the Japanese was horrendous...China hates japan to this day for it.

that's really cool, we kicked major ass and made the difference in the war, however we had relativly low casaulties. USA #1 at ass kicking.

From what I remember from my war history class, when the U.S. entered the war (officially). Our troops weren't particularly well trained, or really that great. However they were well fed, the german troops were practically starving.

"Vietnam..."

We kicked a lot of butt their too, but that war wasn't lost by the troops. All the tactical battlefield victories in the world doesn't matter if you're being held back by politicians.

I wasn't saying you lost because of crappy soldiers, I meant on the whole...

But your history class sounds right...
