i hear ya, i had 100 miles per day on heavy interstate traffic for a year. getting stuck in a few 2 hour traffic jams every month sucks your soul out.

hated that job, not just because of the driving, but i hated it.

with the new job i might drive 15 miles a week between work and errands around town, its awesome. if i travel work that jumps up fast but that is not at all a regular thing

Nowadays...it's pretty minimal. Maybe 20-50 tops.

When I was working however...1000-1400 every week.

Same when I worked (Construction).
Never less than 1,000 mi. week, and I have seen a few 80- 90K mi. years.

Now, I probably average 50 mi. week just running to the Hardware store, Feed store, etc.

Wow how can you guys afford diving that much? If you have a nice car and drive 30,000 miles per year (575 per week) and get 30 miles to the gallon that's 1,000 gallons of gas. At $4 per gallon that's $4,000 per year in fuel alone!

for me paying for the gas is cheaper than moving closer a lot cheaper
