Picked up a plasma for resale that I HAVE to get rid of before Wed. Otherwise I will make about $200 less or potentially even less.

I have a 19 inch 79$ tv in the living room - that is the good one - it has stereo (oooo aaaaa). . .and front av jacks (gasp)

I have a 13 incher hooked up in my kids room for his ps2 . . .

And we were big spenders (99$) for the 20inch magnavox in the bedroom.

We are not big on tv's. . .

I'm still loving my CRT projection 42". Even at lower prices, the picture is far better than anything I've seen in a LCD or DLP.

Yeah, I'm trying to get rid of my 27" CRT now that I got a 32" LCD HDTV.

I helped my dad move his 36" Wega CRT today so we could put a 37" Vizio in its place. It was almost impossible to lift. It had to weigh at least 200lbs! He's probably just going to keep it since there is no way he'd get anywhere near what he paid for it.

honestly I'd rather have a smaller HD CRT than an LCD or plasma, blacks on CRTs are amazing in the end the picture quality on a well made CRT is way better than any flat panel technology.

Wow, this hits home. A few weeks ago, with the 32" Olevia deal, I wanted to upgrade from our 30" Sony CRT widescreen. Wife and I like the aesthetics of the new LCD screens, and I like the fact that there is no glass in front of the screen. I'm also liking 720p instead of the 480p/1080i.

I ended up selling the CRT TV for $400 locally on Craigslist. It was a nice set, just time to upgrade to the latest and greatest. In the future, we'll move the 32" to the bedroom to replace the 27" JVC CRT, and we will upgrade to a 37" (when they are around $500) or 42" (when they are around $600).

I literally was trying to pull every last dollar out of the old CRT set before people realized that the LCD prices were plummeting.

I don't even need an actual 'TV'. I just watch tv on my computer. It sports a 21" Hitachi flat shadow mask monitor w/ bright tech. Yummy huge beast.

I actually love my 52" rpCRT HDTV. I need to dump it though, because it doesn't support HDCP and only has one DVI input.

I'm hoping to try and find somebody locally who'll give me about $800 for it, because I bought it new for $1200 and I've taken very good care of it. In the year I've had it, I've only probably put about a thousand hours of use on it, so it's still in excellent condition.

I still haven't upgraded from my black and white tv but the wife keeps bothering me to get a color tv, so I suppose I'll have to one day. Do you need special rabbit ears for color or will the ones I use for my black and white work?

not i. Need at least a 37" widescreen to realistically replace the CRT in our living room. And we spent way too much for a TV IMO at the time... so max on a TV shall be $500 from now on... including the tuner (yeah, we're at least a year away, if we're lucky... ha)

First, you have to evolve the ability to see colors.

i still have my sanyo 30inch hd crt set.
its 16:9 i dont really see a point in upgrading to a flat panel until this tv shiats the bed.
same goes for my monitor, a 19" sony g400 trinitron.
call me senile but i still prefer the crt's for most stuff.
I played company of heroes on my buddys 20 widescreen yesterday and was less than thrilled with the picture.:/

I'm still very pleased with my 34" HD CRT. Excellent blacks, accurate colors, and it's 16:9.

Damn thing weighs 206lb, though...

My CRT HDTV will be a year old next month and the picture quality is wonderful, my son just got an LCD tv last month and all three of us have LCD monitors that are less than 6 months old.I'm tempted by the alledged walmart doorbuster but don't know how I'll lug a 154 pound tv up three flights of stairs.

I am glad I don't care about being behind in technology. I recently got a 27" and a 35" flat screen CRT for free and I have a 20" and a 25" CRT I need to go pick up. Woohoo.....all new TVs for the lake house.

So are you trying to sell your CRT TV? I ditched my 5-yr old 32" WEGA last month for $200. That's 25% what I paid for it :| I figured it'd be harder to sell after Black Friday.

I paid $2K for mine about 5 years ago. It started acting up so I gave it to a guy that did some owrk on my home.
