Maybe; either way, it's all Obama's fault.

How many troll threads have you started since obama took office?
I am going to use facts instead of speculation and guarantee that there is at least one.

If factless troll threads are all that the neocon crowd is going to be able to muster for the next 4, these forums are going to get rather stale.

DJIA today as of the moment I type this: 7,261.49
Total drop: 687.6
It dropped more than that in a single day last fall.
EDIT: What's the point of this thread anyway? Is the OP attempting to blame Obama for the fall in stock prices, as opposed to say... the worldwide economic catastrophe?

It is but what positive sides are they failing to report? Home sales? Unemployment numbers? Consumer confidence? Auto sales? Virtually ever part of the economy is hurting to different degrees. If the media didn't report the negatives at this time they'd not be reporting much of anything.Originally posted by: Xavier434
It doesn't help that pretty much every news source is heavily focusing on the GOP and their very negative opinions. They are hardly reporting both sides of the stories right now because only one side creates drama and ratings. You can find reliable stories showing both sides, but you very often have to dig hard for it. Our stock market is heavily based on market and industry confidence so it is no surprise that stocks are going down some with all of this biased negative media reporting going on. I'm not saying that is the only reason but it most certainly is contributing a lot.

If horrible sarcasm is all that the Obama crowd is going to be able to muster for the next 4, these forums are going to get rather stale.
Edit: We also have deflecting to a previous administration:

When is the deflecting going to end? With the Clinton -> Bush transition, deflectors were called out on Day 1.

And who cares about the companies that are listed on wall street... its not like they employ people.. but fvck'em.. yea.. whatever, I did not vote for Obama. I know a lot who did... what does this mean? well, luckly I'm still employed.. there are some who voted for Obama that aren't ... so yea, obama #1.. Do I feel sorry for people who voted for Obama and are laid off.. yes and no... I told most of these people that (IMHO) if Obama gets elected.. its going to be bad.. a lot worse then it was (do search on my past postings).. well did they listen.. No .. so yea, you make your bed and you lay in it..

The fact is things were royally screwed up and it is simplistic and juvenile to expect an instant fix.

Obama has not had anything to do with anyone getting laid off. Let's hope it stays that way instead of purposely striking fear into the hearts of these people that you expressed your opinion to shall we? Their chances of getting a job again sooner than later revolves heavily on market confidence so stop trying to wreck that confidence.

Whoa, hold on there.... maybe you were missing my point. Obama did not cause this mess we are in. Wall street got greedy, and now the party is over. Fvck 'em for being greedy and placing short-term profit over long term prosperity. Many Americans feel this way because of the way that they have been burned, and deserve a chance to vent. Dumping Wall Streets mess on Obama's doorstep is not the way to assign blame. His effect will be felt on the economy, but not for quite a while. Maybe then, once his programs have had time to effect the marketplace, can you start blaming him. People who have recently lost their jobs havent because of Obama.....yet, so you can't claim that they ahve made their bed by voting for him.
