I never understood this way of thinking, it makes no sense. You are better off paying off debt, and if by chance an emergency does happen before you have a chance to rebuild an emergency fund, THEN go back in debt by taking money from the credit line, loan, etc. Why choose to STAY in debt, "just in case"?
