How much do certain injuries cost employers?

You'd think this data would be somewhere...

I'm trying to find out how much a specific injury costs an employer on average.

For example: How much does the average broken finger cost? Back injury? Decapitation? WHATEVER.

Seems like these statistics would be somewhere... anybody got any clues?

Right. But each incident has a cost. You'd think there'd be data reflecting how much these incidents cost the insurance companies, which would be transferred to the employer...

Any help?

Are you talking just actual incurred medical costs, or TOTAL costs including lost wages, future wages, disability, ect?

The individual injuries don't get charged to the compamy, but if they have enough of them, their rates go up.

I KNOW my last injury has cost at least $300K so far, long term disability, THEIR lawyer's costs, between medical bills etc, and once it's finally settled, (it's a LONG way from done) they'll have to pay MY lawyer's fees as well.

The hell of it is, if they'd have just taken care of things 3 years ago, I'd have been farther into my rehab,(or done) and off their books long before now...
