How much do you enjoy your job?

I have two jobs.

The one I enjoy, pays very little and is part time. (Security at Bowling Alley)
The one I don't really enjoy, pays a lot more and is full time. (Security at Fermilab, a government facility)

The one I don't enjoy is just a stepping stone to the fulltime job I'd love to be doing. (Cop)

on a scale of 1 to 10, i'd say 4. job is repetitive, salary is low and i have to get up at 5:30 almost every day. but i guess the boss is very nice to me, so hence the 4 points.

So-so. Job is alright, co-workers are great, upper management I'm not particularily fond of.

I hate my job. Man I work in a basement for Acxiom Corporation dealing with offsite customer backups. I load tapes into tape drives all night long. I work 3 nights a week 12 hour shifts (7pm to tam). IIt's nothing fancy, but has great chances for advancements, and pay my bills. Plus awesome health insurance. kind of a love hate relationship. Can't live with it, but can't live without it.

I was a swim aid - I hated it and was not compensated enough money for my discomfort.

Over hte past 6 years at my employer, I'd say 2 sucked. 1 was OK. And 3 were pretty damned good. Spread out over maybe 5 projects.

I love it - I've got awesome coworkers with little management stupidity to deal with. Talk to me in a few weeks after I go to first shift, hopefully I'll still like the job.

Started my 2nd job out of Uni and loving it so far. Not hard really, great location, a very welcoming and friendly company that pulls out the stops for it's employees (open bars at company events , treats on Fridays, fresh fruit and milk everyday) and I started with 15 new grads in my take and and we have a laugh together.

Not really worked the actual job yet . Should be fun still.

I full heartedly enjoy my job. I get to examine patents all day, which doesn't sound exciting, however... I'm in an interesting 'department' ... I do video game and gambling related inventions.... It's quite interesting, especially since I like to gamble. Vegas in November for the Gaming Convention !!

The work is mostly paperwork, but it's really easy if you are really good at searching (i.e. finding prior art) and writing up reports for attorneys to read. I also enjoy getting responses from attorneys that are dumber then ******. It actually puts a little smile on my face to just argue the hell out of my position and stick to him because he's too stubborn to change his claims. (patent lingo). ... Anyway, all in all, I sit in a white room all day with no windows (not a cubicle) but I still enjoy it, we're free to walk in and out as we please as long as we do 80 hours every 2 weeks. I go to work at a different time each day depending on when I feel like waking up. Its coooooooooooool.
