As for the Wifi, just buy a router and connect it to your modem, or as an AP to your gateway. Spectrum can't keep you from using your wifi-connected devices.
As for "spectrum control everything", I guess you're talking about regional cable franchise agreements?
Thank you this is what I did the day I picked up their modem and trying to make it work with my router. Apparently their modem puts restriction on which router to use. Its annoying and at the same time clever to maximize their profit.
Control as in equipment control. You have to register your modem with them. Also regional control.
Anyone know what rate they charge corporate for internet?
I was only getting 35mbps provided by work but enough for me. Now with my paid internet they gave me 200 mbps.
