How much do you pay for your gym membership?

I've been trying to cut back on what I can to save money, so I've been giving my gym membership a lot of thought. I pay $64 a month. The place is clean and has everything I need. The people who go to the gym are older so you don't have many young meatheads. I was told that they keep the price high so they discourage the riff raff from going there. It opens at 4:30am until 10pm/7days a week.

I had read an article that said that to determine the monthly cost of a gym membership is divide the days you go in a month to the cost per month. In my case I go 6 days a week which comes to 24-26 times depending on the month. If you were to divide 24/$64 per month for my gym membership I pay about $2.67 per visit. At 26 times a month I'm paying $2.46 a visit. I guess that's not too bad if I look at it that way.

What do you pay per month, and how many times a month do you visit the gym? Is the price worth it?

$10 a month + $30-$50 annual renewal fee. Included tanning bed for women I think, and includes a steam/sauna room for men.

No swimming pools, basket or racket ball courts.

There's a regional country club here with a pool and basketball court that charges $84 a month for a 2 year contract. Claims to be a 'family friendly' environment.

IMO, they should be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

$0 a month right now since I do it in my basement. But I am considering a $200 month "family" membership to a Ninja gym over the winter months. The pool is shutting down for the season in a few weeks and need something to wear down the kids through the winter that's indoors. They have a full gym, a "ninja" gym, and partnerships with a bunch of other places around town that they allow you to go to. On weekends they usually have open access to trampoline parks and gymnast setups so that the kids can bounce and run around on those. Plus they do a lot of kid friendly classes and family classes through the week. It's cheaper than putting them into a formal karate/tae kwon do class and more flexible which is important with how chaotic our schedule can be.

Oh and American Ninja Warrior is my favorite show and I always wanted to try and do some of those obstacles.

Get my 37 year old ass up on a salmon ladder.

Interesting. I moved to Kentucky last year, and surprisingly rock climbing is huge here. I live about an hour from here:

A friend of ours here is a huge climber and I'm pumped to have her help train me and the kids on bouldering and climbing. It's a whole new adventure for me

They'll cover the breaks, cables, pedals, spokes, tires, chain, worn parts, etc...? That would have been $$ well spent when I bought my 1st MTB in the early 90's.

Either way the $$ I've spent on bikes/parts is far far less that I would have spent on something like golf.

They would have lost their ass on the Gary Fisher (trek) they sold me. If I weren't falling apart physically, I would consider it a good deal.

That sounded too good to be true for a warranty to cover normal wear and tear and crashes for 5 years so I looked it up, it doesn't cover those things:
