How much do you pay for your internet?

Wow. Its damn cheap in Pakistan. My bro in India pays about $30 for a 512 Kb, yes Kb, connection. 3 years back when I was in India I paid the same for a 256 Kb connection. These prices are in Hyderabad, one of the major metros of the country.

In the US I pay $45 for a 12 Mb down, no cap connection.

Another ISP offers 4mb at $25, I might switch. They probably have much better upload too. I get sucky 384 and torrents literally kill the connection.

Wow, everybody pays for fast internet. I'm cheap, I'm paying $31.99/mo, out of contract, for Verizon DSL without Voice, 3Mbit/sec down, 768Kbit/sec up. Works fine for me, I don't do much other than browse the web and stream music (and an occasional video) online. No caps, which is the good part, IMHO. I would much rather pay Verizon for a slower, but uncapped connection, than to pay CrapCast for a faster, but capped, connection.

I could get FIOS, but like I said, I'm cheap. My next broadband upgrade will be to 25/25 symmetric, for $65-70/mo.

I'm a lot more pissed that Verizon nuked their good Usenet services.
