285-290 3-4 but with my shoulders I'm amazed I can get any. Just lifting my arms up to grab the bar is painful AF.
The Smith machine was a godsend for me. Having the ability to continue to train my chest and tris while rehabbing my shoulder it was the only thing that kept me in the gym. To say that there is no use for a Smith machine is just wrong. I continue to use it today because it allows me to build muscle while keeping my shoulder inline and out of pain. I have 2 heavy days a month when I use the flat bench, the other 6 chest days are on the smith. The smith is also great for drag curls, one leg squats and a host of other exercises.

I used a smith machine for weighted pullups (finally something, the smith machine is good for ) but in my gym the smith machine is in heavy use by other lifters ( sadly -.- )
