Well, our next electric bill will be around $300, no sh1t. May even go as high as $400 depending on the rate increase. Per day, per computer? Really doesn't matter, we're all gettin ass-raped any way you figure it!
About $2 a day. It depends on the cost per Kilowatt-hour. I think it is about $.20 right now or maybe much higher.
Look on your electricity bill and see how much a Kilowatt-hour costs in your area.
I did a calculation a couple years back, if you leave your computer on for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it comes out to 50 cents a month... with today's prices, probably about a buck
With the strain on the grid, it's probably a pretty good idea to shut it down when you're away from it. I know it doesn't seem like much, but a lot of these small actions just might avert a rolling blackout or two!
dafatha00, how did you come up with 50 cents per month? I haven't done the calculations myself, but 50 cents per month seem kinda low, although I can be wrong.
