I owned an intercooled 89 LeBaron GTC with the 2.2 TurboII and A555 5-speed. Quick,fun, and RARE car. I sold it to my friend (lives next door to me now) and he is considering re-building the engine and getting the kit with the larger injectors/turbo/wastegate.

No S60, but I'm planning on getting an S60 turbo with the .63 housing Right now the Shadow has a 2.5 Garret TII, no intercooler as of yet, but This is what's going in there, I have the intercooler sitting in my room right now, I just need to get the funds up for the install pieces The Shadow has a 555 as well (was swapped in there before I bought it, Shadows never came with 555's!), there's a lot planned for that ugly little car, I'll keep the board updated with the interesting stuff

Cool - the turbo shadows are 3rd on the list of sleepers behind only omni GLHs and turbo minivans (I get giddy thinking of the look of a rice-rocket owners face as he watches the tailgate of a minivan pulling away )

People just don't appreciate the potential these mid-late 80s Chrysler pocket rockets had. The 2.2 TurboII in STOCK trim with intercooler had 174HP with a full 200FT-LB OF TORQUE!!!! Coupled to the bullet-proof A555 that was quite a combo (I miss driving that car - I'll have to talk my neighbor into lettling me drive it again when he pulls it out of winter storage)
