I just had queen mattress with frame delivered and assembled up four flights of stairs. I gave twenty as the tip is this enough? It was three guys, two left before the third so I gave it to third do you think he shared?

20 bucks seems like a good tip to me, who cares how they split it really...

i'm sure most people give them nothing.

When I had my giant sectional delivered when I first moved into my new place, the store charged me money for the delivery. But I tipped the 2 delivery guys $20 (total) because moving those sectionals looked really damn hard, and they did a fine job of not damaging the goods. I was pleased.

Perfect example of a situation where you should not tip.

Why? They're more worthy of it than some random mediocre waiter. Although you may just be a pragmatist, realizing that the chance of getting the same movers twice is relatively low, and that it's better to have your porch spat upon than your poached eggs.

Depending on attractiveness you could give them just the tip, or let them have the whole thing. It really depends on your taste.

if the company charged for delivery: fuck you, no tip.

otherwise: $20, plus a bonus if the weather was bad or it involved a lot of work (eg: lugging up a 5-piece bedroom set to a third floor room)

For stuff like that I usually don't tip, but I might offer them a pop or something. It's their job and they're getting paid half decent for it, usually.

For food delivery, it's usually younger guys trying to get by and they make minimum wage, I'll give them a few bucks. Usually I just round up, so if it's like 23 something I'l just give them 25 and say to keep the change. If there's a big blizzard outside I'll give them a couple bucks more just for the fact they have to drive around in that crap and walk in people's unshoveled driveways all day. Those are probably the days where they realize they need to stay in school. And they need the money for that.

You tip waiters because it's part of the business model.

This is a 3 person team either on staff or contracted to install a bed.

Example: I buy a new TV from Amazon, it is delivered and installed ("White glove" delivery). How much do I tip?

Hint: zero

Do you guys tip the cable guy as well? Plumber? Electrician? Maid?

A few months ago I lost my car keys and had a locksmith come out and re-key the car. Should I have tipped him a $20? I mean he definitely deserved it, but it just doesn't feel right.

I paid company sixty for delivery and sixteen more for haul away old box spring and mattress. They delivered from kansas city missouri to springfield missouri so about 3 hours though I suppose that's irrelevant compared to who knows how far amazons distro center or whatnot would be from me

delivery fee would mean no tip from me unless they went beyond the call of duty to right a wrong not under their control or something. I've tipped with free deliveries of furniture. I've even tipped the contracted Lowes guys who brought my fridge and oven and did the hookups.
