How much will a $3500 wreck make my insurance go up?

I got in a wreck and I didn't think it was that bad... left front quarter panel is damaged and the headlight is busted and some damage to the hood but still able to drive it... got a check for $3500 today from the insurance company (it was my fault). Is there any way to figure out how much this will make my insurance go up?

my insurance wont raise rates until u have more than 1 accidents in a year

Haha, no. What company do you use? If its Geico, get prepared to be raped. If its State Farm, you wont see to much of an increase from one minor accident. Were you ticketed?

It depends on your age and previous record. If you are under 18 one wreck causes your insurance rates to jump like MAD. But if you are in your 30s or something and have a good record it shouldn't do much to your rates.

I have Farm Buerau and no ticket and this is my first claim ever.

Not true.

It's all based on a risk factor. If you have one wreck a year consitently, don't you think an insurance company would come to expect that?



The value of the wreck really isn't the important factor, it's the cause of the wreck that is the determining factor.

You could do $3500 damage to a luxury car with a parking lot accident, but you could total a POS for the measly tune of $2k in a near fatal accident.
