The way i do it is, put a spare t-shirt in top of the sink, hold it down with 2 bottles. Take the hair cutter with a #3 and just start grinding at it. Eventually i just get someone to do the edges for me every 2 or so haircuts.

for the guys that say $0 and cut their own do all of you have mullets? I can't see how anybody could cut behind their head, at least evenly.

What? Take the clippers and run them all around back there until no more hair is being cut. It's not hard.

i use masking tape to make a line, then trim off below that. the electric trimmers won't cut thru the take, so it's no issue.

after trimming the line then shaving the back of the neck with an electric shaver, i take off the take and check the line. if it wasn't perfect, then i fix it a little.

it's easy.

also, i do it standing in the shower tub. makes picking up hair afterwards much easier.

Probably around $440 or so; my hair is pretty long now, so I don't go that often.

about $40-60 - $10 about every 2-3 months. that doesn't include tip though, which is usually $2-3 per haircut.

They're people who are okay with their hair looking simply passable, you cannot get the line on the back of your head straight on your own I don't care how good you are. And you need to use a razor on it, clippers even with no guard won't get it right. My barber's in his 50's and has been cutting hair since he was a teenager, and he tells me he won't cut his own hair . He's an exceptional barber, so that tells you something about cutting your own hair.

0, just buzz my head and usually once a month when I go to my parents house I ask my mom to do my neck with a razor real quick.

Paying someone to cut your hair is stupid.... You're Not a movie star,, People judge you in less than 1 second,,, and chances are,,, you'll never be good looking enough for a second glance.... WORRY ABOUT SHIT THAT MATTERS... like lightspeed...

I'm in the military, and as a matter of personal pride, I like to look clean and presentable.

Thus, I get my hair cut once a week, with a neck shave to ensure a cleaner back. It's worth every penny, as I enjoy having short, well kept hair, and looking professional.

But I guess those who dropped out of school because English was too hard a course can't be bothered to worry about that kind of thing while they're collecting welfare.

I've done it so much that I can get it cut evenly. When I tell people I cut my own hair, they couldn't believe it.

I've been buzzing my own for many years now. Saves money, saves time. #4 guard on the entire head, #3 in the back and around the ears, then I use a left and right tapered guard around the ears to get neat and even. My wife or daughter helps get my back straight and shave any spots I missed on my neck.

A few years ago I let my hair get rather long and shaggy. When I finally cut it I had half my head buzzed short when the clippers stopped working. I had to call my wife and beg her to bring me home a new set of clippers before I could go out.

Right now, nothing, because my head is shaved. When I had hair, nothing...because I grew it out. I've probably had fewer than 100 haircuts in my life (I'm 38 btw). The haircuts I did have usually cost between $6 and $10.

Who the hell gets their hair cut every two weeks? Mine is curly, so as it gets longer it just slowly turns into that whole white guy fro sort of deal. It takes months before it starts looking horrible, so I get haircuts like once every 4 months or so, trim it myself in-between.

Haircuts for me are mostly just so some good looking chick (who's not my wife) will play with my hair for 20 minutes. It's pretty much a form of low-level prostitution.

I get my hair cut about every 4-6 weeks. It is a pretty short cut so sometimes I let it go for longer than I should without it looking too bad. And I go to two different places, one place is a local lady (been in business for 70 years) and the other is Cost Cutters inside our local WalMart. Local lady charges $10, Cost Cutters is $13. So I guess if you averaged it out at say $12 every 5 weeks, then I spend roughly $125 per year on hair cuts.

Edit: Price not including a regular 20% tip or so.

I used to go to a barber, only because it was cheaper. But most places like that have closed down around here, so it's only the chain places, and I haven't seen a single guy working in any of them so far.

I used to spend $15 + 3 for a haircut but they always ended up not so great. They'd cut it really short which I hated. Now I'm in the $0 club with the rest of you guys.

But this thread will be the #1 example of why ATOT is so socially inept. lol

I'm around that number as well. I go about every 2-3 months. I can't go to the regular shit haircut joints because they absolutely have no clue how to cut long hair.
