I don't have the same length all around and I tried once to fade the hair on the sides and it didn't come out well. Plus you can't even out the back by yourself.

Spoken like a true troglodyte.

KT

I are not troglodyte..... it's just the things I've figured out,, having spent money on haircuts,, and gel,, and wax...

It might be because I'm getting old... from my perspective,, sex doesn't quite cut it when it comes to pursuits... so now i'm on lightspeed and some philosophy, so i can make slightly smarter friends... though most of them.. blech...

And really, if you're hatin' on my grammar,, this is honestly how words would come out of me if I didn't bother arranging them formally. Why are you such a tight ass on the internet,, It's my only social outlet that doesn't cost money, so I can relax,,, what's wrong with that,...

Every few months because I tend to wait as long as presentably possible before having to fork over the $20. I also find it terribly inconvenient to take the time to go get it done.

I have experimented with self-cutting and assisted cutting by friends and neither have been reasonable experiences.

My first self-cutting attempt I tried to get it looking like I normally do but found out I lack the coordination with my hands in that position looking in a mirror. It was terrible and I ended up just buzzing it and it still looked bad.

In college I was mocking the cost of haircuts and a friend offered to do it for me. They said they had some experience and were pretty decent at it so it sounded like a good deal to me. Uh... yeah, everyone politely declined future offers from her for haircuts after that.

For those who get their hair cut every month... do you shampoo with Miracle Grow?

I think my hair grows pretty quickly.. and my GF cuts mine every 3 months.

This thread needs 500000000% more pics.

I wanna cut it myself, but I don't see a good way of getting a good even fade on the sides and back doing it myself.

It's just that you use commas like you have raging tics.

Who the hell gets their hair cut every two weeks? Mine is curly, so as it gets longer it just slowly turns into that whole white guy fro sort of deal. It takes months before it starts looking horrible, so I get haircuts like once every 4 months or so, trim it myself in-between.

Haircuts for me are mostly just so some good looking chick (who's not my wife) will play with my hair for 20 minutes. It's pretty much a form of low-level prostitution.

I do, like just about every military person does. Some people can't look like unkempt hippies.

Another member of the $0 club here. Clipper myself up with a # 3 every 2 to 3 weeks, and my wife cleans up the neck hairs for me.

The shorter haircut you have, the more often you need to get it cut, unless you like the shaggy dog look .

Eh, $10 every couple of months. Once it hits my collar I get a haircut from the local barber. If I am really lucky, he will bust out the straight razor to do the neck and sides.

I guess about $80. $20, four times per year. Roughly. I haven't gotten a haircut since late June so I'm overdue and it shows.

In USMC ROTC I got it done every week for $10, so that's almost $500 there
After I left ROTC but was still in the Corps of Cadets it was every other week for $10. $250
Now I get it maybe once a month for $9, so $120.

I don't really care about my hair cut so I just go to the military barber on base/post during lunch.

ya'll have to PAY for that in the army? Thought it'd be free.

I pay 60ish...not really sure. 3-4 times a year..$20 each time.

Except for the cost of clippers which I seem to replace every 4 or 5 years... $0!!

I used to be a baldy by choice and now I'm a baldy by genetics... been shaving my head for about the last 12 years...

I get my hair cut about every 4-6 weeks. It is a pretty short cut so sometimes I let it go for longer than I should without it looking too bad. And I go to two different places, one place is a local lady (been in business for 70 years) and the other is Cost Cutters inside our local WalMart. Local lady charges $10, Cost Cutters is $13. So I guess if you averaged it out at say $12 every 5 weeks, then I spend roughly $125 per year on hair cuts.

Edit: Price not including a regular 20% tip or so.

So you pay EXTRA to have it cut at Walmart?

And to all you self cutters, it's worth $10 every month or two IMO to relax for 20 minutes and let someone else take care of it. How cheap do you have to be? No matter how good you think it looks, it has to show.
