how noisey is your x-15?

i recently purchased a segate x-15 80 pin...and it is making this croakey....clickey sound............sometimes its kinda often..........just wondering what kinda noise your drives make......thanks

if you got the original X15 then they are pretty noisy. I dont even have my HDD LED light hooked up to my scsi card and I can still tell when I'm writing to my x15. (i have the original).

However, if you got the new x15 (x15-36lp) then I hear that one is pretty quiet so I'm not sure if those sounds would be normal. I havent ever seen an x15 36LP in action however so I dont know for sure..
