How often do you check your tire pressure?

Answer honestly.

I probably check my car tire pressure about twice a month. I check my motorcycle tire pressure at least weekly, I might go a couple days riding without checking it, just looking over the tread for a nail.

Update: When is the last time you checked the tire pressure in your spare tire? Honestly, I had NEVER checked mine and after almost 9 years guess what? It was completely flat! I filled it with air and now it is good to go if I should ever need it.

When maintenance or repairs are done to any of the three/four vehicles in the house, the tires on the vehicle in question get checked, and whatever other vehicle is sitting in the garage next to it. Also, when I wash my car, I'll check the pressure.

Otherwise, I just let it keep going unless a tire looks low.

When the little light telling me that my tire pressure is low comes on...

IMMA COMPUTAH!!!

Actually they do it every time I go in for an oil change. I bought the tires at the same place that does the maintenance, and it's free rotate/balance every 6000 miles.

I have TPMS that measures actual pressure, not just ok/low, so... most days. (no jack/spare, so I keep a close eye, and I just have to go in to the menu and look when I turn it on)

The CTS-V has a dash monitor for all four tires, so it's checked every time I drive. I checked the bike a week or two ago..Forester and MR2 are overdue.

Weekly, if not daily.

But i also go offroading alot and air down to 10-15 PSI most of the time so its kinda hard not to check since i need to air them back up to drive home after.

i just click buttons on my dash every once in a while, and make sure there is a bit of air in my air bags for the rear suspension.

I used to do it religiously every couple weeks because my old car would gradually leak air out of the left two tires (Had valve stems replaced, tires remounted, the whole 9 and they still leaked, passenger 2 were just fine). Then I got my current vehicle and after 3 months without any notable pressure drops I got a little lax about it. The worst it has been down is 3-4 PSI and that was when it got cold.

I check weekly, constantly fiddling with pressures to suite my driving style. Right now, my car's tires are 30psi. The car is like a pillow now. (1998 Acura 3.5RL)

In the Jaguar, I check once a 1 month. 24psi.

2-3 times a month. With a gauge and adjust when I wash and detail. But I'm even eyeballing them and doing the "curb stomp check" when I'm waiting for gas to pump.

Really need to be careful with the rears; a couple PSI difference will cause one side to break loose before the other and I only run 25 psi in the rears while DD as it is.

Biggest maintenance item is draining the PCV catch once a week. Boost just blows that shit everywhere. I need a bigger catch can though.

Every 6 weeks when I check the oil level in my car. I rarely lose any air unless there is a huge temperature change.

Every few to several months, or before a road trip.. whichever comes first. I run my tires at 60PSI(that's over sidewall, oh noes!) They usually lose 5-10psi. No biggy.

Every day, since it's displayed on the dash and I just have to hit a menu button. It monitors the spare, too.

Since us Insight owners are so anal about our tire pressure, I've thought it would be interesting to get a TPMS. Aftermarket though of course. Does anyone have an aftermarket system, or did they all come with the cars? Any recomendations?

When I did the summer/winter driver thing, I'd check the summer driver out pretty much every weekend. The daily driver once every few months. Now that I'm down to just a single vehicle, I just go with the TPMS and just double check with a gauge in the spring/fall when the temperature starts swinging.

About once a month on the car, every time we go out on the bike (~weekly). The car never really loses air so I'm not that anal about it. The new bike doesn't either but low pressure on the bike makes me much more nervous obviously.

More in the winter than the summer, because I don't have TPMS on my winters, and the tires can lose some air due to temp changes.

This question will slowly become useless.

good/low TPMS is already required on new vehicles, and it's not much (really no cost other than a sfotware difference) for car makers to expose the actual PSI to the driver. Before long, all cars will have it viewable from the inside.

I've also found it to be pretty accurate. I've had 2 cars with it, and they've both always been right on the gauge measured pressure with the digital readout.

Honestly, I hate TPMS.

1) The batteries in my four are all dying/dead, so I get the error light on my dashboard constantly. They're not cheap things to replace, and I think they even added to the mounting cost for tires.
2) The car only remembers four, I want eight to have two sets of tires. Otherwise, it'll need reprogramming each time ($$), or spend an entire season with the light on.
