Slightly before my time, but not too much. A friend of mine had this album(if my distant memory is correct)

I remember when my dad brought a PORTABLE CD player back from TDY. It was the size of a fairly hefty hardback book.

I'm about to turn 45. I remember when I was 11 going to see Terminator 2: Judgment Day in the theater. What an amazing movie not only at the time but even now it still holds its own.

I was in my 20s when that movie came out.

Star Wars, here. The theater was half a block from our junior high.
I vaguely remember going to see Return of the Jedi with my parents when I was around 5. It was a small theater in a small town so it could have been awhile since opening night.

What I remember most about it was my dad buying some nachos and cheese before the opening. We all sat down in our seats but I had to go to the bathroom. Instead of getting up and walking out to the end of the row my 5 year old self though it was better to hop over the seats in front of us.......that was a mistake.

My heal caught the edge of my dads nacho bowl and it dumped the entire bowl of cheese and chips into his lap......so yeah that was my first Star Wars memory.

Super Mario 3 is awesome. Every couple of years I still fire it up via Super Mario All-Stars and play it on my SNES.

Yeah there is just something about that game. I sometimes fire it up too for nostalgia. Same with Super Mario world. Sometimes 1 and 2 but those ones I did not play as much as a kid.

I had a worktruck once with a digital AM radio. This was a 90s era truck with *digital* AM. "Hey let's be high tech, and include a digital radio, but we'll tell them to fuck themselves by making it AM only. I'm sure our customers will appreciate that!"

I remember when my elderly neighbors got the first color television set in the neighborhood. They kindly invited all the kids to come watch The Flintstones in color...must have been 1962...

I'm old to remember Bobby "Boris" Pickett doing The Monster Mash. My Dad yelled at me when I played it real loud the morning of my grandmother's funeral. TMI? Of course it is!

Anyway, I just came across this appropriately creepy close-up of Mr. Pickett singing it. Dig it, Daddio!
That was epically creepy! I had never seen any live version. He went nuts with the facial contortions.
You sort of imagined something by listening, but OMG!

No shite! I always imagined him as some fresh-faced young Brit having a lark, but, OMG, he really rose (or sunk?) to the occasion!
