That's real cool. I hope I can play games with my wife. That way she'll understand when I want to drop $$$$$ for that extra fps or notch in texture quality.
There's nothing finer. My wife loves video games (consoles and PC), especially when she can play with me. Needless to say, we were big fans of WoW, and we're now into LOTRO (I have our gaming rigs setup in the office to where we are back-to-back when we play, hence MMO's are ideal for us).
To play a bit on what you said, tiger, I just dropped $4,000 to build two new gaming rigs (ours were just over 2 years old), re-build the home server, my music PC (DAW), and upgraded the laptop. I also bought a few things to update the home network (new battery cartridges, more robust UPS for the home theater, etc.).
The best part? My wife ASKED me to do this.
Granted, this is something that had to be done, considering how much we use our PCs and how old some parts were, but still. When your wife says "Honey, my video card is acting up again...it's time to upgrade the gaming rigs", you listen (after waking up from fainting as you never thought you'd hear her say something like that, of course).
Find a partner in gaming crime. If you think you like video games now, just wait until you find a significant other to share them with.
*Edited to add: I'm 32, by the way.
