Well, surely there are passages in the bible....something in the volumes and volumes of works by theologians over thousands of years.....that you could reference.

Admit it. You don't know what you're talking about. I've met plenty of people who can at least intelligently discuss the blurring of religion and science and you're not even trying.

Here's the problem with that: my beliefs may "seem to be inline with theirs" but are mine and not theirs. I'd rather not use another man's beliefs or work as a crutch.
