13. Once you're a teenager, your parents should no longer be responsible for your well being and you should be able to survive on your own.

Well, I don't have an age. I pretty much "moved out" as soon as I started college (at 17) as I only came "home" once for the summer and the rest of the time I lived on campus or in a apt. Then I got married and we have had our own place for about 2 years now (still renting but we are shopping for a house now).
I have coworkers my age (23) and a little older who still live at home. Funny thing is, they have so much more of a social life than most people and because of that don't usually save a dime! Here I am newly employed and fairly newly married (barely 2 years) and I all-ready paid off my college loans and am saving for a house... strange...

i know an Italian guy who is 31 and living at home, but i think that is mostly because his Dad has died and he is there for his Mom.Originally posted by: ragazzo
More and more Italian men over 30 are living at home due to economic situations. It's not that they want to be babied, which are the real losers heh.

Not about wasting money but about taking responsibility and growing up and becoming an adult.
