I bought an EVGA GTX 460 SSC 1GB about 5 years ago. I was able to sell my old GTX 260 Core 216 along with a free copy of Adobe Premiere Elements that came with the 460 to make the 460 upgrade a net zero cost. I just bought a Gigabyte GTX 1070 last week, but I'm waiting on my processor for my new build before I can install the new GPU.

I also bought a gaming laptop back in May of 2014 that has a GTX 860M 2 GB, which has been my main system up to this point.

Just bought myself a new 1070, but before that I had 2x6850 for about 5 years.

HD 7950b I got off ebay a year ago for AU$125.

Does 1100Mhz @ 1.08v, which is plenty at 1080p.

I think my next move will probably be a freesync monitor and secondhand R9 290.

Bought RX 4 80 3 weeks ago. I am happy as I upgraded my system with 5 year old processor i5 2400. It works well and will carry this build to 7+ years(because processors dont advance so fast now which is also not good).

Sapphire HD5770 at first launch!

You have me beat by two months and your card is slower. How has your card been for gaming?

For me, I realized I don't game as much and the games I do play are old anyway so it's not much of a drawback having an old card.

I don't remember when I bought my Sapphire 7970 but it was $499 and it was bought right after it launched. Still works fine for what I play these days, except I wonder about 2d performance sometimes and AMD drivers.

7970's, 3 years old, by far the longest I've ever had a gpu. Glad I waited for the die shrink though. 1080 Sea Hawk EK X is in the mail!

I've had 580s in SLI since 2010 or so (right at their launch). I was happy with their performance for a few years to be honest (1440p 60hz), and it's only in the last few years where I've had to turn eye candy down quite a bit where I've been itching to upgrade, but ended up always waiting for the "next best thing" to start a new build which is underway!

R9 290 which has been released almost 3 years ago. Not sure when I purchased it though. Would have totally got in on the Sapphire R9 Fury deal if I didn't miss it. But I did miss it so I'm staying put until there is another deal I can't refuse. Might take a while, I don't have time to play any new games, so my R9 290 does everything I ask it to. As I said, the only reason I'd upgrade is if there is a deal I can't refuse.

Bought my Fury 1 year ago, almost to the day. My first (and only) 28nm GPU, since before that I was on Fermi for nearly 4 years. That was more out of necessity though, so I may go with two 16/14nmFF cards this time around assuming there is enough performance to upgrade twice from what I have now.

2 years and the only reason I've ordered a Fury is the 290 died and was second hand in april 2014.

HD7970, about 4 years old.

I specifically got a non ghz edition card so I didnt have to deal with all that useless boost stuff newer cards have.

EVGA GTX950 SC bought this spring. EVGA GTX1070 SC ACX 3.0 in transit to my house, should be here Thursday.

I have a Radeon HD4850 in a box in my garage bought in the early to mid 2000s. My secondary computer in my home office is an AMD APU, Llano A4-3400 with AMD HD6510D graphics. I built it in 2010. Runs like a champ with Windows 10. No gaming but it is happy playing 1080p video and decoding content of all sorts with no UI hiccups. Can't complain.

RX480, 3 weeks old. Prior to that a 290X for about a year. Prior to that a 5770 that I used around 3-4 years.

"The Radeon HD 4850 was announced on June 19, 2008 "

:whiste:

Oh man. My brain is giving way to mush as I age. At least it wasn't the other way around, me thinking it was just yesterday but it really was years ago.
